For most positions, employment conditions are outlined in the ITSA Enterprise Agreement 2011 – 2014

Employment Arrangements
ITSA employees are engaged in accordance with the Public Service Act 1999 and associated regulations and directions which:
  • requires applicants to either be Australian citizens, or be eligible for and prepared to seek citizenship as a condition of employment;
  • requires employees to declare any outside interests that could affect the performance of the position and obtain prior approval to undertake other employment outside ITSA;
  • prohibits employment of persons who have received a redundancy benefit from APS agency employment and the corresponding redundancy benefit period has not expired.

ITSA will conduct police and background check on successful applicants and require new employees to make a declaration about their character. Security clearance checks may also be required.
Employment will involve an assessment of health and medical fitness by way of a declaration, with a follow up health assessment if required. Employment may also involve an initial probationary period.
